Question 5) If dy/dx = x + cos x, find y
A. x2/2 - sin x + c
B. x2 - sin x + c
C. x2/2 + sin x + c
D. x2 + sin x + c
Question 41) Convert 22324 to a number in base six
A. 5406
B. 2546
C. 5536
D. 4506
UPDATE - ANSWER INCLUDED BELOW Question 5
The correct answer is C
SOLUTION
dy/dx = x + cosx
Cross -Muiltiplying we have
dy = (x + cosx) dx
Integrating we have ∫dy = ∫(x + cosx) dx
y = ∫xdx + ∫cosxdx
y = x2/2 + cosx + c.
