    Simple Solution
    W = mg
    So our work is to use the information given to find the mass and acceleration due to gravity at that point and then multiply them.
    To start with
    F = W = GMm/R2 (Newton gravitational force)
    On the earth surface with radius R, W = 100N
    Then 100 = GMm/R2
    by subject formular m = 100R2/GM ...........(1)
    Equation (1) is the mass of the object
    For g at that orbital radius of 2R
    F = W = mg = GMm/4R2
    by subject formular, g = GM/4R2 ..........(2)
    note that m cancelled each other
    Now that we have our m and g, we can go ahead and multiply to obtain
    W = m * g = 100R2/GM * GM/4R2 = 100/4 = 25N
    Answer is Option C
