Understanding how to accomplish your number one goal as a jambite/Fresher

Hello Jambite,
The main reason why we get into the university is to get a degree which would enable us become useful to ourselves, family and the society. But we must keep in mind that to accomplish this goal you need to :
1. HAVE THE RIGHT MINDSET
To accomplish anything, you need to have the right mindset. Its a simple fact in life. So for those that really want to make something out of their degree. your mindset should always be :- I love and have passion for what i am studying and i must emerge a first class holder.
2. HAVE A SIMPLE, VERY IMPORTANT BUT FREQUENTLY IGNORED AND RARELY GOTTEN PIECE OF AWARENESS
To emerge with a first class or second class upper requires that you must have good grades in your early stages in school and then keep up that same spirit till your final year. Most freshers are less aware of this until they have stayed two years in school.
There are three major classes of freshers(Jambites) in school
Class A: The ones that study hard from day one in school and continues to study hard till their final year in school
Class B: The ones that get overwhelmed with the excitement of getting into school and study less, party a lot, fail exams in their first year, then try to get themselves together in their second year. The smarter ones pick up fast in their second year and less smarter ones in their third or final year.
Class C :The ones that get overwhelmed with the excitement of getting into school and study less, party a lot, fail exams in their first year and then resort to sorting lecturers from their first year to final year. These ones sometimes emerge with good grades if they are lucky and most times emerge with bad grades. But you can be rest assured that in both cases, they would know nothing about what they studied in school.

In all three cases we can easily predict if each class of fresher would actually accomplish their set goals

Class A would emerge with a first class or second class upper

Class B would emerge with a second class upper, or lower, or third class or pass

Class C would emerge with a second class upper or lower, or third class or pass

So to really accomplish your set goal, i would advise that you stick to being a Class A fresher, and there is no doubt you would certainly smile on your graduation and after wards.
