SENATE COMMITTEE ASKS JAMB TO EXTEND RESULT VALIDITY TO 36 MONTHS

18-11-2015 10:24:00 +0000In a plenary session held yesterday by the senate committee on education, they came to a ruling and directed the Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) to extend the validity of their results to three years (36 months).
The committee also addressed the issue of the board posting candidates to schools not of their choosing saying they ought to have consulted the parents association and other relevant bodies and stakeholders in the educational sector before making such a decision, saying the policy runs contrary to the reason why the board was established and that it places untold hardship to candidates posted to private universities whose fees are beyond the reach of some parents.
