The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has approved minimum cut off marks for Nigeria’s tertiary institutions.

The minimum cut off marks for admission into different types of institutions in Nigeria are listed below:

> 160 for Public Universities
> 120 for Private Universities
> 120 for Public Polytechnics
> 110 for Private Polytechnics
> 100 for Colleges of Education

Institutions are, however, at liberty to raise their cut off marks for admission above the minimum set by JAMB.
