Worship, Public and Private        Scripture:  “We must hold tightly to the hope that we say is ours. After all, we can trust the one who made the agreement with us. We should keep on encouraging each other to be thoughtful and to do helpful things. Some people have gotten out of the habit of meeting for worship, but we must not do that. We should keep on encouraging each other, especially since you know that the day of the Lord’s coming is getting closer.”  (Hebrews 10:23-25) You may have heard someone say, "I can worship God without going to church." Or "I feel closest to God when I am away from church and at the beach/on the mountain/in my fishing boat." Some will even say, "I worship God but I don't take part in any religion." Jesus said that it was meaningless to worship Him if we substitute the commandments of people, tradition, or simply did not obey Him. Someone who is truly led by God's Spirit will obey His Word, won't they? Worship Him by obeying the One you profess in all things, including His command to meet regularly.
