    A total of ‎878, 040‎ candidates who sat for the May/June 2016 WestAfrican Senior Secondary School Examination (WASSCE) representing52.97 percent were successful in obtaining five credits including Mathematics and English Language.......... At a press briefing to announce the resultsin Lagos, the Head ofNigeria National Office of West African Examinations Council (WAEC)‎,Olu Adenipekun, who announced the result described it as "cheerfulnews" considering the fact that this year result is an improvement on the last two exams.................... The 2014 and 2015 May/June Examinations have recorded 31.28 and 38.68 percent respectively................ ‎A total of 1,5‎52,758 candidates registered for the 2016 examinations,but it was 1,393,907 candidates who have their results fully processed.
