05-08-2016 17:02:00 +0000A total of 878, 040 candidates who sat for the May/June 2016 WestAfrican Senior Secondary School Examination (WASSCE) representing52.97 percent were successful in obtaining five credits including Mathematics and English Language.......... At a press briefing to announce the resultsin Lagos, the Head ofNigeria National Office of West African Examinations Council (WAEC),Olu Adenipekun, who announced the result described it as "cheerfulnews" considering the fact that this year result is an improvement on the last two exams.................... The 2014 and 2015 May/June Examinations have recorded 31.28 and 38.68 percent respectively................ A total of 1,552,758 candidates registered for the 2016 examinations,but it was 1,393,907 candidates who have their results fully processed.
