2016/17 Admissions:

MATTERS ARISING AS REGARDS EMBATTLED JAMB POSTING OF CANDIDATES.

Let me go straight to my point. For some weeks now, I have been longing to hear from the horses mouth concerning this JAMB posting of a thing, because since that Day JAMB started that, there have been alot of confusions and misapprehensions from all corners. For instance, thousands of UNN aspirants at least, scored between 220-280 but hasn't been posted yet By JAMB, whereas some people with 180-199 were posted (but unfortunately, UNN cut 200). So, all these factors makes many aspirants stay in suspense, but I am here now to reassert what I have been saying all these while because I have heard fROM a horse's mouth.

Yesterday, July 27th. It was a tough day for me. I stormed the JAMB office in UMUahia -Abia state. Though, after waiting to be attended to, I met the secretary to the Abia state JAMB zonal officer/chairman, He told me plainly that they mistake they made earlier was that they started posting candidates to schools even before such schools released their screening forms & cut off marks. He said that another mistake they made is that they didn't post those names according to JAMB scores. He further told me that as it stands now, that JAMB has started using another method to post. He said that If a school like FUTO have decided to release her screening form next week, that FUTO management are expected to tell JAMB her cut off mark and JAMB will now forward all the names of those that chose FUTO, made FUTO First choice and reached that FUTO's cut off mark.

The man further said that the confusion being experienced presently in 2016/17 admission process is partly caused by FG and top JAMB's officials and stakeholders. I remember asking the man why the names of many of those that have reached some institution's cut off mark are not still uploaded on JAMB's portal. He told me that no aspirant should panic or worry as regards that. That if your chosen institution form is out and u reached her cut off mark, that such person should go ahead to apply for the screening because JAMB has already forwarded your name to that school. Then if the school offers you admission, your name will be sent back to JAMB for issuance of JAMB admission letter.

Finally, I asked him about those that didn't reach their chosen institution's cut off mark but were early posted by JAMB to that school. He said that such persons should never be afraid or lose hope, that JAMB will forward their names to institutions soonest. I left UMUAHIA for my place and got home around 8pm yesterday. but I thank God for granting a little Nobody like me audience before that JAMB ' s official.

MY ADVICE TO ALL ASPIRANTS:
if you reached 200 & made UNN your first choice, my dear go and register for UNN screening and forget about whether posted or not posted yet, then when UNN offers U admission, JAMB will give u admission letter. So dear, so far as God is on your side, #It_Shall_All_End_In_Praise
