Candidates have been asking series of questions like – if the Institutions they were posted to means they have received admission into the Institution, but The Registrar/Chief Executive of JAMB, Prof. Dibu Ojerinde said,” It’s not in any way an admission list”............................. List Of Candidates Not Admission List- Prof. Dibu Ojerinde Candidates seeking admission should rest easy now as the list of candidates sent to various Institutions is not in any way an admission list. Prof. Dibu Ojerinde said this in a statement on sunday, “The role of JAMB is to conduct the UTME, compile the list of candidates whose scores meet the cut-off marks (180 and above) and send same to the universities. The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board wishes to state that the latest list of candidates sent to all the tertiary institutions contains candidates who qualified for screening based on the individual institution’s capacity. It’s not in any way an admission list. The list, which is made up of candidates, who met the national cut-off point within the set criteria, is sent to the institutions. Again, for purposes of clarity, all institutions that have need for more can source from their omnibus printout as stated above. The candid intention of the board is to ensure that available spaces are adequately utilised.”................................................... He concluded by saying, “It does not in any way affect the statutory role of the Senate of any university or the academic board of any tertiary institution conducting its admissions.” This is to say that the list is just a sign of clearance sent to Institutions to inform them of the candidates that passed the proposed cut-off mark of 180 and above.

My question is this, Jamb said, they posted those who met the cut-of point (ie) those who scored 180 and above to their various schools for screening. What of those who scored more than 200 and yet their names have not been posted? Does it means their scores did met the national cut-off point within the criteria or what?
