2016/17 Admissions: LET US LOOK INTO THE LISTS JAMB IS SENDING TO INSTITUTIONS (pls I shall use UNN for my explanations) Blessed moment my blessed people. OK, someone sent me this message on Whatsapp and it reads thus as #copied: " Daniel, I don't understand this list JAMB is sending to Schools, pls what can make one be on the list? I need urgent reply sir. I'm also your fan on facebook" ...Now, I know that many of us here are still asking same question, but my dear just relax biko....You don't need to give yourself high BP unnecessarily. WHO ARE THE PEOPLE ON THE LIST JAMB SENT TO UNN? OK, that list JAMB just sent to UNN contains 1. Names/Reg No. Of those that scored up to 2016/17 JAMB's National cut off mark (which is 180). 2. Names/Reg No. Of those that chose UNN as '1st Choice' Now, if you know that you got up to 180 in JAMB & made UNN your 1st Choice, my Dear relax & keep praying towards UNN screening/admissions because your name is on that list JAMB sent to UNN. On the other hand, you have been offered what is called ' Provisional Admission' DANIEL, WHAT DO U MEAN BY PROVISIONAL ADMISSION? It means a temporary or conditional admission, that is waiting for confirmation, validation or clearance. So that is why JAMB has given u a temporal admission by sending your name (s) to UNN, but UNN will give u 'Permanent' admission when u pass her screening and other admission requirements. UNN MAY STILL BRING OUT HER GENERAL CUT OFF Remember, when JAMB released her national cut off mark on June 2, she said schools are free to peg their own cut off. So that means that as JAMB has sent your name to UNN because u reached 180 or above in JAMB, UNN may still cut 180 or 200 for those who will participate on her screening. Remember that UNN admission carrying capacity according to NUC is 9,000. The names JAMB has sent her contains more than 30,000 candidates. So this means that at the end of UNN admission processes, when she has admitted up to 9,000 aspirants, (either into their dream courses or related courses), the non-admitted ones would be forwarded back to JAMB. JAMB will then send such persons to their 2nd or 3rd choice institutions for consideration. (This means that in the first place, JAMB didn't send your name to your 2nd or 3rd choice institutions, because if she did, there won't be any directive to UNN or institutions to forward back the names of those aspirants not admitted for admission consideration in their 2nd or 3rd choice institutions.) You understand my point? So relax your mind and stop worrying. The names may be uploaded by UNN in due course. Finally, UNN hasn't said anything yet about her screening, so keep your fingers crossed & remain prayerful. The truth is that your admission is loading...Pls my matric rice matters a lot biko. Do have a blessed moment ahead. U would be informed if any new development pops up as regards JAMB, FG, UNN & this year admissions. Remember, #It_Shall_All_End_In_Praise No shaking! Carry go!
