He was born on 30th of November 1835 as the sixth son of John Clemens. Raised in Hannibal Missouri. He lost his father at the age of 11. At 12 he dropped out from school to do apprenticeship in printing in other to support his mother in saving the family from a total destitution, pushing young Sam into the world of economy struggle early in life. These experiences and adventures instead of it giving young Sam a good reasons and excuses to remain as a pauper, a mediocre, a nonentity. Rather they formed a strong steps and building blocks in molding the man he and others so dreamed of. He is the father of American literature, a riverboat pilot, a journalist, lecturer, entrepreneur and inventor. He is popularly known by his pen name as Mark Twain.(Ref: wikipedia, www.biography.com )
