"I am not here to write exams, i am here to acquire knowledge"
    (Honda Shoichiro)
    Short Biography

I doubt if there is anyone who has not heard about Honda Motors. The founder of this motor was born in Hamamatsu in Japan to a blacksmith father who also repairs bicycles to make end means and his mother who was a weaver. Young Honda do stays around his father workshops after school, introducing Shoichiro into the business of making bicycle part his favourite toy.

Due to his quest to know more beyond what his dad taught him, he now move for a higher knowledge in the Technological School of Hamamatsu in Japan to study mechanical engineering. In school, he was a very active student who really wants to know every bit of information his professor said. But during exams, he will exempt himself(i.e intentional absent). He did this for some semesters until he was finally caught by one of his professor outside during exams. The professor asked him Honda why are you outside while exam is going on? beside i have not seen any of your script while marking your mate's scripts. Shoichiro looked at the prof. straight to his eyes and said "I am not here to write EXAMS, i am here to acquire KNOWLEDGE" And you know what friend? Honda motor is a proof of that statement. He was dropped from the college courtesy of that

He was literally mesmerized when he first saw a car, this led him to make this statement. "Forgetting about everything in the world, i was running after the car..i was deeply moved.. i think it was then, although i was very young, i had the idea that someday i will construct a car myself" Honda Shichiro died in 1991 as an international conference lecturer, with honorary doctorates. He had 470 inventions and 150 patents. More than 140 countries around the world buy his products.

The lesson he thought us is not for us to pant for success, but to pant for excellence. I want to end this with one of his favourite quotes "Many people dream of success. I believe that success can be achieved only through repeated failure and self-analysis. Success is only one percent of your work, and the rest-bold overcoming of obstacles. If you are not afraid of them, then success will come to you itself" Today's prosperity of Honda Motor Co., Inc. proves the truth of its founder.

N/B: Do not absent yourself from exams o! Get the lesson and don't misunderstand it.
    Thanks and my best wishes!
