Its value worth more than certificate. “Education is defined as the process of acquiring knowledge, skills, values, beliefs, and habits(Anonymous). Mandela view it this way "Education is the most powerful weapon in which one can use to change the world" Little wonder did Archimedes after acquiring little of it boldly boasted that if you give him a lever long enough and a point on which to stand, He will move the earth.
So where do we actually acquire this Education? The truth remains that we can acquire Education any where. But base on this platform, School is the most resourceful place to acquire a true Education, but many of us have just misunderstood that. Thank God for Honda Hudge the owner of Honda Motors who actually understood the importance of Education over Certificate.
This now leads me to what i defined School to be. I defined school mathematically to be equal to Certificate plus Cerbificate; The word Cerbificate is not in the dictionary, so don't worry yourself about that, It merely mean Education. So School = Education + Certificate. But the tragedy here is that almost 90 percent of students are more interested on Certificate than Education. No wonder sorting and malpractice are rampant in some of our various institutions if not all. Because our interest is not in the Education, we just need the Certificate. I think Albert Einstein agreed with me when he said that "Education is what remains when one has forgotten what he learn from school". Alvin Toffler reiterated on it when He said that "The illiterates of the future will not be those who do not know how to read or write, but those who do not know how to Learn" Henry Ford, the owner of Ford motors summarized it when he said that "A learned man is a man who has learned how to learn continuously"
I think a quintessential conclusion to this post is contained on what Albert Einstein wrote "The value of a college education is not the learning of many facts, but the training of the mind to Think" So dear, School is more than certificate, Get it now to avoid the recycling thing. Because for you to be outstanding, you must stand out. Cheers!
